RONAN — A Florida man is dead following a fatal accident near Ronan on Sunday.
The wreck happened at around 5:50 p.m. on Moiese Valley Road.
Montana Highway Patrol Dispatch reports a 2005 Subaru Forester was heading northbound on Moiese Valley Road when the driver lost control.
A woman was trying to negotiate a curve when she over-corrected, sending the vehicle off the road. It then overturned and hit a tree.
The passenger, a 33-year-old Florida man, was sitting in the front seat, and was ejected on impact. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver, 34-year-old woman from Ronan, and a 30-year-old woman from Polson were also injured in the crash.
They were taken to St. Luke Community Hospital for treatment.
Alcohol and speed are thought to be factors in the crash, according to Montana Highway Patrol.
MHP says all three were not wearing seat belts.
