The 20th Judicial District Court released an Administrative Order to close all Lake and Sanders County Courthouses until June 1st.
All civil cases filing deadlines due before June 1st, are extended for 60 days from the date previously due.
All civil case hearings and trials that were scheduled before June 1st, are to be rescheduled for a later time.
All criminal trials scheduled before June 1st are to be continued June 8th for Sanders County and June 15th for Lake County.
If any incarcerated defendent whose trial was before June wants to have a trial earlier than June must file a written request and the request will be addressed according to the circumstances.
All other matters will be handled by remote appearances by Zoom or Polycom.
Omnibus hearing forms shall be signed and filed one week before the scheduled hearing date. If filed timely the hearing will be waived.
Non-incarcerated defendants and their attorneys are to not come to the courthouse except by special order.
