MISSOULA – New owners will be taking over operations of the Missoula Osprey baseball club for the first time in 25 years.

But the move could open the door to possible stadium upgrades and other changes in the future.

Mike and Judy Ellis, who’ve been the majority stakeholders in Mountain Baseball, LLC announced they’ll be selling the Missoula franchise to Peter Davis and Susan Crampton Davis of Big Sky Professional Baseball LLC.

The deal needs the approval of the Pioneer League and Minor League Baseball but is expected to close in 30-days.

Peter Davis has experience in both business and the entertainment industry in Seattle, while Susan Davis has worked with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

They plan to maintain the Osprey’s front office staff and “work fo elevate the franchise” through future investments, hinting at stadium improvements in the announcement.
