MISSOULA – The deadline for University of Montana academic departments to finalize their plans to cut $5 million from their budgets department heads to present their plans to the Provost passed on Friday night.

A few weeks ago the focus was on the Humanities department with the exception of Computer Science and Native American Studies.

The proposed budget cuts previously discussed included the entire Global Humanities and Religion curriculum.

There’s also been additional attention to the Journalism Media Arts and Pharmacy programs but we don’t know for sure if they’re going to be on that final list.
