Food for Fines returns to Missoula

MISSOULA – The Missoula Parking Commission and the Missoula Food Bank have partnered up to help feed the hungry.

Donations of nonperishable food items can be used toward paying outstanding citations at the Missoula Parking Commission during November.

Each item will count for $2 off the balance on the vehicle, up to $10 (five items) for the month and all of the food goes to the Missoula Food Bank.

Folks with outstanding parking tickets can bring donations to the Missoula Parking Commission office at 128 West Main Street weekdays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.

All non-perishable food items are welcome. Please make sure they are not opened, damaged or out-of-date.

  • Peanut ButterCanned Fruits (in juice)
  • Canned Vegetables (Low/No Sodium)
  • Low-fat Salad Dressings
  • Canned Chili
  • Cooking Oil
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Canned Beans
  • Shelf-Stable milk
  • Oatmeal
  • Canned Soup (Low Sodium)
  • Pasta
  • Baby Formula
  • Baby Food
  • Whole-grain items
  • Gluten-free items
  • Low-sodium/Low-sugar items
