MISSOULA – Forward Montana and Logjam Presents has joined forces to form Amplify Montana and will be offering free concert tickets for voters on Election Day.

All you have to do is present a photo of yourself outside of your polling place on Tuesday and you could receive a free concert ticket for one of two shows.

Some 100 tickets will be given out to see Tauk at the Wilma in Missoula on a first come first serve basis. Also, 45 tickets will be available to see Cherub play at the Top Hat.

Logjam Presents owner Nick Checota says they were influenced by Pearl Jam’s Rock2Vote Initiative and felt like his organization could do something along the same lines.

“We work with a lot of not for profits and we felt as just an organization surrounded by younger folks and seeing all the things that Jeff Ament does — who we are friendly with,” Checota said.

“We felt like this is a great opportunity and Forward Montana, we got in a dialog with them and thought this is cool this would be something fun to do and our demographic fits the need to get them out and vote and so we thought it was a great opportunity,” he added.

Checota said that the giveaway is bi-partisan so it doesn’t matter who you vote for just get out to the polls and vote.
