MISSOULA – A pair of Missoula businesses will split $450,000 in grants awarded by the Big Sky Economic Development Trust Fund.

The home-grown, locally owned businesses will combine to create 63 new high-paying jobs.

Consumer Direct Management — which will receive over $255,000 of the grant money and create 37 jobs — has successfully expanded nationwide and is looking forward to further investing into the Missoula community.

LumenAd is a recent start-up software company that will create 26 new jobs over the next year.

Economic Partnership Director Grant Kier says this type of investment is very beneficial for Missoula.

“It’s a really huge benefit to our companies that the state’s going to make this investment, and it’s a huge benefit to our community to increase the standard of living through high-paying jobs,” Kier said.

“And allow people who want to bring their talents and grow their talents in Missoula to be here, to live here, and to put a roof over their head, and food on the table and enjoy our quality of life, he added.

Kier told MTN News that the jobs being created are all above the Missoula’s median income.
