MISSOULA – A vehicle hit a power pole on Mullan Road Saturday and knocked out power to around 900 people.
Police received a call about the incident at around 8:30 a.m. No one was injured and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
The vehicle sheared off the pole and caused it to hang by the power lines. Missoula Police Sergeant Matt Kaczynski said they’re worried that the pole might fall into the road.
Traffic was blocked off on Mullan Road between Clark Fork Lane and Flynn Lane while a NorthWestern Energy crew worked to replace the downed pole.
