MISSOULA – While all of Western Montana looks like it will get a white Christmas, Monday morning’s snowfall caused for some dangerous travel conditions.
A multi-vehicle accident closed down a section of US Highway 93 south for over an hour. The wreck was reported shortly after 7 a.m. on the “S” curves north of Lolo.
The accident closed both northbound lanes of US Highway 93 near mile marker 86 for a little over an hour as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
Drivers were being urged to slow down and use extra caution with snow and slush covering the roads in the Missoula area.
Highway 93 N is currently blocked to one northbound lane just north of Lolio. We’ll get it cleared up soon. It’s snowy and slick. Take your time. #mtwx #mtroads pic.twitter.com/mW30iyVhjV
