MISSOULA – One person is in custody after leading police on a high-speed chase that ended on the Orange Street exit in Missoula.
Around 9 p.m. police received a report of a vehicle taking off after hitting the Pagoda Chinese Foods building.
Police were given a description of the vehicle. An officer then located the vehicle with that description near Pine Street and tried to initiate a traffic stop.
The driver did not yield and led police on a chase from Pine Street to Higgins Street and over to the Van Buren Street exit.
The driver went up the eastbound exit going the wrong way on Interstate 90 towards the Orange Street exit.
The suspect exited going the wrong way off the Orange Street exit, and attempted to re-enter I-90 going the wrong way again.
Before entering the interstate, the driver went off the side of the road and fled on foot.
Police were able to apprehend the individual within moments.
