HELENA – A teenage girl from Missoula has died after a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on I-15 near Helena Monday afternoon.
Lewis and Clark County Sheriff-Coroner Leo Dutton confirmed to MTN News the victim was 15-year-old Kayla Neal from Missoula.
Helena Police Chief Steve Hagen said she walked onto the southbound lanes of I-15 and was hit by a woman driving a Dodge truck.
The accident happened about a ½ mile south of the Capitol Interchange on I-15 neat Shodair Children’s Hospital. Helena Police and Montana Highway Patrol are working together to investigate.
