MISSOULA — The Beeskove fire burning north of Missoula has grown to 319 acres after being pushed by windy weather on Friday.
There are 250 people battling the lightning-sparked blaze which broke out in the Rattlesnake National recreation Area on July 23.
More breezy conditions are expected on Saturday followed by warmer and drier weather on Sunday.
The blaze is expected to continue to grow to the east and south with ground crews contending with steep, rugged terrain, rolling debris and wind-driven fire behavior.
No structures are threatened at this time. However, several trails remain closed in the area including parts of the main Rattlesnake Creek Trail.
