MISSOULA — Missoula based FYR Diagnostics has announced that it has a new way of COVID sample testing that will allow a 24 hour turnaround time for results
Since announcing that the new fast and accurate testing is available CEO Chris Booth said their phone has been ringing off the hook to test samples.
FYR is getting it's COVID samples from private health providers. If any of those tests turn up positive, the company reports those results to the state.
FYR hopes to assist in state testing in the future. But for now the company’s CEO said they are happy to be helping the community.
"Our whole goal was to help our community, help the state of Montana there is this dire problem and our state doesn’t really have the infrastructure to address it. We knew we needed to help, we wanted to help and it feels really really great to have gotten to the point where we are helping," FYR Diagnostics CEO Chris Booth said about the ability to offer this rapid result testing.
FYR’s new form of testing allows a smaller staff to conduct tests but they are still in desperate need of more technicians and have job postings available on their website.
