MISSOULA — The Missoula City-County Health Department has fully transitioned to its new COVID-19 testing services from the Missoula County Fairgrounds to a new location off West Broadway.
MCCHD secured a lease for the former Garden City Warehouse located at 4025 Flynn Ln. last week.
In a press release, the county said they have fully moved their testing services this week without any interruptions to services. They say the new facility has plenty of room to continue safely serving Missoula County residents throughout all of Montana's seasons.
MCCHD uses the warehouse for drive-thru testing, office spaces for medical and support staff, and storage space for securely housing supplies and equipment for testing operations.
Incident Commander Cindy Farr thanks the Missoula County Fairgrounds for setting the department out on the right foot to help ensure a quick response to the county’s urgent testing needs in the spring and early summer.
“This new facility has everything that we need to keep operations running,” Farr said in a statement. “We were diligently looking for a space that would meet our long-term needs and we found it at Flynn Lane. It was especially important to us to find and secure another facility for continuity of operations, particularly ahead of changing seasons.”
The county continues offering testing services by appointment only. Offering services by appointment only is one of many ways they ensure safety on site, as well as the efficient and effective use of resources.
