BONNER — With temperatures rising this weekend, Missoula County wanted to send a few reminders to those recreating in the Clark Fork River near Bonner.
Parking is now prohibited on most of Juniper Drive and Tamarack Road, and floaters are asked to park and access the river at the Confluence Area of Milltown State Park. Details on parking can be found here.
Also with the rise of COVID-19 cases, the heath department urges people who choose to recreate on the river to follow the agency's guidelines for recreation which includes maintaining social distancing and only recreating in groups with members of your immediate household.
With the river moving faster than normal, please be diligent and careful as there has been a slight uptick in calls for assistance from those recreating near or in the river.
