MISSOULA — A volunteer with Missoula Parks and Recreation has tested positive for COVID-19 but no scheduled programing is affected by the positive result.
15 people were exposed to the person with the positive test and those people will be contacted by the health department.
This is the first and only positive associated with parks and rec and director Donna Gaukler says that staff and volunteers are required to complete a daily health assessment before reporting to work.
She also said that the organizations social distancing rules helped limit the amount of exposure and that Parks and Rec will continue using safe protocols.
The person who tested positive has allowed Parks and Rec to let everyone know they are feeling great and only experienced mild short term symptoms.
