MISSOULA — A meeting to talk about the future of one of Missoula's busiest roads is set to take place later this week.

The Missoula Metropolitan Planning Organization is hosting a public forum to answer the question, “What will improve people’s experience with Reserve Street?”

The process will identify variables related to safety, access, comfort and livability while understanding the current experiences and expectations of area residents, shoppers, employees and other Reserve Street users.

The meeting will be held from 5:45 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 at the Best Western Plus Grant Creek Inn at 5280 Grant Creek Road. Community member check-in will begin at 5:45 p.m., and the event will begin at 6 p.m.

Those taking part in the forum will have the chance to learn about issues that impact their Reserve Street experience. There will also be several interactive stations where participants can share their experiences.

The forum will help to identify barriers and other factors that influence positive and negative experiences of the corridor, according to a news release. Click here to register for the event and learn about future opportunities for involvement.

The results of the project will be shared at an event to be scheduled later this spring.
