MISSOULA — Not only did Missoula Sentinel High School start the school year with a new principal but also more construction as part of the Smart Schools 2020 program.

Students are using the new performance art building already in the STEM enter on campus while waiting for other work to be done.

Sentinels gym is almost ready and includes a newly enclosed viewing area on the north side of the court. The high school's technology is also seeing improvements.

"Tentatively right now we're looking as January 1st would be when construction should be complete. That's going to be pretty darn nice...you know with the computer labs you saw a lot of the technology and more kids having access to technology which is important," Principal Ryan Rettig said.."

The new principals goal is for students to be more involved and to challenge themselves intellectually.
