MISSOULA — Northwestern Energy (NWE) has confirmed a squirrel is to blame for the numerous power outages across Missoula on Sunday.
NWE Director of Customer Communication Brandy Powers reports a squirrel got into a substation that resulted in approximately 14, 500 Missoulians losing power.
Powers noted that squirrels are one of the top causes of power outages.
