(UPDATE, 4:25 p.m. 1/2/2020) A family of five is safe after their vehicle went off a road in the Blue Mountain Recreation area Thursday afternoon.

Two adults, three children, and two dogs were traveling to a sledding location when their vehicle rolled off the road and landed on its side in a wooded area. No serious injuries have been reported.

Responding agencies included the Missoula County Sheriff's Office, the Montana Highway Patrol, and Missoula Emergency Services.

Road conditions in the area are reportedly slick.

The Montana Department of Transportation has listed most road conditions in the Missoula area as "wet/scattered wet"

Montana Highway 200 near Bonner is labeled as "slush/scattered slush."

Emergency crews are on the scene where a vehicle went off a road west of Missoula.

A vehicle rolled off a road in the Blue Mountain Recreation area and landed on its side in a wooded area.

Numerous first responders are on the scene, including the Missoula County Sheriff's Office, the Montana Highway Patrol and a Missoula Emergency Services ambulance.
