A woman died following a two-vehicle crash in McCone County south of Wolf Point on Friday.

Montana Highway Patrol was called to the crash at 11:15 a.m. on MT Highway 13 at mile marker 29.

According to MHP, a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling north on MT 13 when it slowed down for a deer that was crossing the highway.

The other vehicle, a Harley Davidson trike, was following behind and rear-ended the bike. The trike's passenger, a 57-year-old woman, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.

The bike laid down, and both the driver, a 70-year-old man and the passenger, a 71-year-old woman, were taken to a hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The driver of the trike, a 57-year-old man, was not injured.

All of the riders were from Tennessee.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.

The MHP is continuing to investigate to determine if alcohol or speed were factors in the crash, as they do in all crashes that result in a fatality.
