During the summer of 2017, the Sprague Fire in Glacier National Park destroyed the historic Sperry Chalet.

Now, a Montana distillery is giving thousands of dollars to help with rebuilding the iconic structure.

Gabe Spencer with Whistling Andy Distillery said, "What better way for us to raise money is through something that we do well.  And we thought what screams more Montana than Huckleberries?"

And so "Spirit Of The Sperry" was made to help rebuilding efforts.

Spencer says so far, the specialty huckleberry vodka is proving to be a successful way to raise money, and the distillery so far has donated $45,000 to the project.

Doug Mitchell with Glacier Park Conservancy tells MTN that the donation means a lot, and that, depending on weather, Sperry will re-open summer of 2020.
