BILLINGS – The Yellowstone County Corner’s Office has released the name of the construction worker killed in Billings earlier this week.

The man was identified as 52-year-old Jeffrey Dykeman. Dykeman was killed Wednesday when a pickup truck slammed into a road construction project on Interstate 90 near the South Billings Boulevard interchange.

Authorities said earlier this week, road workers were doing maintenance work on the highway, but the off-ramp was not completely closed.

A Big Sky Steel flatbed truck, driven by a 28-year-old Billings man, entered the construction zone from the eastbound lane and struck the worker.
