A 72-year-old male died on Saturday morning in a fatal crash just south of Chief Plenty Coups State Park.

He was driving a 2005 Chevy Impala, and it is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt.

The accident was at the intersection of Pryor Gap Road and Edgar Road when the man failed to negotiate a curve and veered off the road.

The car went down the embankment and came to rest after hitting a tree.  The man was pronounced dead on scene.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is investigating this crash.
