BUTTE – The Butte Rescue Mission will be holding its annual banquet this Thursday to raise money for the organization and the new homeless shelter.

The event will be held at the Butte Civic Center beginning at 5 p.m. and will feature guest speaker Ron Hall who wrote the book, “Same Kind of Difference as Me.”

The money raised at the event will go to help the organization that helps Butte’s homeless.

“This year will be splitting that money. You can give to the campaign for our new Center of Hope or for the general fund, whichever they choose. It’s a great night of entertainment. We’ll have some special music there, we have a special speaker,” said Rescue Mission Director Rocky Lyons.

The new homeless shelter being built at the end of East Platinum Street will be able to house up to 56 people.

Tickets are $300 for ten guests or $30 for individuals.
