BOZEMAN – MSU officials confirmed that a construction worker suffered unknown injuries when he fell through an elevator shaft inside Montana Hall on Friday morning.

MSU Spokesperson Michael Becker said it was about a 30-foot drop that spanned three floors.

Crews are inside Montana Hall working on a renovation project that includes installing a new elevator.

The man was taken by ambulance to the hospital, but he was able to walk out of the building on his own. Still, he could have further injuries that MSU officials don’t know about yet.

Bozeman Fire Department was on-scene, as well as MSU campus police.
