Thanks to the Montana State University Spirit Squad's Facebook live events you can learn all their moves while following along with members of the team.

“We do sideline chants, dances, just try to keep the kids at home engaged," said senior Spirit Squad member McKinley Winkle about the new virtual clinic. "I’m sure they’re getting a little stir crazy without school and recess and all of that.”

For Winkle and other members of the team, hosting the Facebook live is their way to keep kids involved, but also the possibility for parents to have something for their children to do to stay active.

“We’ve been just thinking of ways to stay engaged with each other, as well as the Bobcat community," Winkle said. "It’s just a mixture of Bobcat nation trying to be involved as possible.”

Not just kids are cooped up in the house, people of all ages have been stuck at home and they're welcome to participate.

“Our target audience from 1:00 (p.m.) to 1:30 (p.m.) is directly tailored toward fifth grade and younger and then the 1:30 (p.m.) to 2:00 (p.m) section is for middle school and older," said Winkle. "(There's) Just different levels of material being taught but anyone can join in. I’m sure it’d be fun.”

Like everyone else, the Spirit Squad's season was cut short. However, this is Winkle’s senior year and she’s not ready to be finished cheering just yet. She wants to pass on what she knows, as well as inspire the next generation of cheerleaders.

“I don’t want to be done with cheer forever since it’s been such a huge part of my life," Winkle said. "I think that this will be fun and to let the younger generation know that even though there are hard times you’re going to go through, you can always find the good in anything.”

If you’d like to give Winkle the proper send off she deserves, you can join the MSU Spirit team every Friday at 1:00 p.m.
