Hamilton Police investigating copper wire thefts

HAMILTON – Hamilton Police are currently investigating a theft/vandalism of copper ground wire.

On Christmas Eve, it was brought to the police’s attention that an unknown suspect had cut and removed the copper ground wire from numerous electric meter boxes and other electric boxes from the downtown area.

This crime occurred sometime in the last month.

Hamilton Police are asking that businesses and individual property owners inspect their electric meter boxes to see if you are an additional victim.
