FLORENCE — A family in Florence lost their home to a fire on Friday evening.
The Florence Volunteer Fire Department and the Missoula Rural Fire District responded to a call at Belle Fleur Drive at around 7 p.m.
Florence fire department officials say the fire began in an RV trailer where a family was living.
The fire spread to a nearby shed but fortunately was put out before it could spread to a house, which was only 15 feet away.
The RV was fully involved by the time fire units arrived, but no one was injured. Reports say units were on scene for about 2½ hours.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
