LIBBY — The Montana Highway Patrol continues to investigate a fatal accident near Libby.
A 70-year-old man from Libby was killed in an accident that happened at around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Authorities say he was driving an ATV on Quartz Creek Road near Libby when a tree fell, and hit him in the head.
Authorities have told MTN News that someone nearby was cutting firewood which caused that tree to fall.
The MHP is continuing to investigate the accident.
