SUPERIOR — The body of a man who was reported missing last month was found in Mineral County on Friday.

The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office has located the body of 35-year-old Jacob Hogset, who was reported missing on March 6 from Billings.

Thw intial search for Hogset took place in an area from Tarkio west and north to Superior for their initial search.

In the following few days there were several unconfirmed reports he was in the Superior area, and then was reportedly seen in Kalispell.

The Kalispell Police Department were notified but he was never found.

Hogset's car was eventually located behind a gated neighborhood by a caretaker who had been watching the property for the owner.

When the area was searched further, his body was found in the Clark Fork River, which appeared he had fallen off a cliff into the river.

The body has been sent to Montana Crime Lab in Missoula for an autopsy.
