(UPDATE, 10:15 p.m.) The power outages impacting the Florence area have been repaired, according to NorthWestern Energy.

The outages were first reported just after 7 p.m. The utility company listed a tree going through a line as the cause of the outage.

Repairs were made less than an hour later.

There were reports of Friday night football games in western Montana being affected for a short time.

(1st Report, 7:37 p.m.) A power outage impacting more than 500 customers has been reported in the Florence area.

The outages are centered around Highway 93 through Florence, according to NorthWestern Energy's website.

The utility company listed a tree going through a line as the cause of the outage. The estimated repair time is 9:30 p.m.

“Customers” refers to a business or a residence so the number of people without electricity can be higher than the figure reported.

Safety reminder: If traffic lights are not working due to a power outage, the intersection must be treated as a four-way stop.
