MISSOULA — A 66-year-old man from Troy died over the weekend after being struck by a car in Lincoln County.
Law enforcement reports that an 18-year-old woman from Idaho was driving northbound on Montana Highway 56 near mile marker 20 when the victim stepped into the roadway.
The driver of the vehicle was unable to stop before striking the man and killing him. Law enforcement believes the victim was intoxicated at the time and no charges are being filed against the driver.
