KALISPELL — Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is proposing to build a second pavilion at the west end of the Pine Grove Pond Fishing Access Site to provide a sheltered picnic area on the end of the pond.
Construction would be very similar to that of the existing pavilion at the east end of the site.
Because of its location near town and high quality fishery, the pond is popular with anglers of all ages and abilities. FWP recorded 35,935 car counts at the site in 2019.
The Hooked-on-Fishing program will also utilize the site extensively in the Spring and Fall to bring hundreds of middle school kids fishing.
These two partner organizations would solicit donations of money and materials and would provide volunteer labor.
Comments on the construction of the pavilion will be accepted until 5:00 p.m., March 15, 2020.
Public comments can be submitted to Tony Powell, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, 490 North Meridian Rd, Kalispell, MT 59901, or by email to email@example.com.
