OAKLAND, CA — Star wide receiver Antonio Brown was let go of by the Oakland Raiders on Saturday Sept. 6th.

Brown had posted on Instagram a post on Friday Sept. 6th that read, "you're going to piss a lot of people off when you start doing what's best for you," the photo was captioned, "release me."

The team had let Brown go on Saturday and later in the day Brown had posted on Instagram a photo of himself wearing a New England Patriots jersey.

ESPN's Adam Schefter had confirmed the agreement between the Patriots and Browns shortly after Brown asked for the team to release him from his contract.

Earlier in the week Brown had stated that he had been heavily fined for missing practice and had an altercation with the team's general manager, Mike Mayock.
