MISSOULA — It was a great day to enjoy some sunshine, and how about those temperatures!
Our weekend will start with a few more chances of snow showers- especially in the northwest mountains.
Saturday mid-morning, a fast-moving system will sweep through creating enough chances for snow to fall and accumulate in mountain passes.
We expect Lookout and Marias Pass to be impacted by these snow showers again.
Reduced visibility and a few inches of accumulation are possible.
Slick roads and blowing snow will be the hazards to our driving forecast Saturday afternoon.
By Sunday, moisture moves out and high pressure builds back in.
We all know what high pressure for an extended amount of time means in Western Montana- inversions.
These inversions will create areas of degraded air quality as pollutants get stuck under the layer.
Expect a few mornings of fog to end the weekend and begin the work week, too.
Otherwise enjoy the sunshine and seasonable temperatures (highs in the mid to upper 30s) return to our forecast.
Have a great weekend!
