MISSOULA — Clouds start moving in tonight and things will look a little different tomorrow afternoon.

A weak cold front will bring moisture to the state, but with warmer temperatures, these precipitation types will be all over the place.

The passes will continue seeing snow through Tuesday into Wednesday morning, but there will be a transition of precipitation types in valleys.

Starting out Tuesday morning, temperatures will be cool enough to allow a few snow flurries will make it to valley floors.

Tuesday afternoon, highs return to the low 40s and upper 30s, so we will be seeing a transition of morning snow to afternoon rain.

Moisture sticks around through Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, and temperatures will cool to allow snow to fall in valleys floors again.

Accumulation (an inch or less) is possible during the Tuesday night/ Wednesday morning period.

Roads may be extremely slick even in valleys due to the changes in precipitation types.

Please use caution driving around midweek.

Another round of widespread moisture and fluctuating temperatures above and below freezing will return Thursday and Friday.

A quick burst of cooler temperatures is possible this weekend.

Confidence is low due to the shift in cooler air moving to our east.

It will depend on how much cooler air spills over the Divide into our area.
