Major swings for temperatures this Labor Day Weekend

MISSOULA — Temperatures will be approaching record highs Friday and Saturday, then potential record lows by Tuesday morning.

RECORD TEMPS:

-Saturday Sept 5th highs will be close to records.

Missoula forecasted: 95; record 96 set in 1967
Hamilton forecasted: 94; record 95 set in 1955
Kalispell forecasted: 92; record 94 set in 1967

-Monday Sept 7th coolest highs on record (aka the low max).

Missoula forecasted: 60; record 54 set in 1985
Hamilton forecast: 60; record 53 set in 1985
Kalispell forecasted: 59; record 48 set in 1922.

The coldest temperatures will be felt Tuesday morning. The Flathead, Mission, Missoula and Bitterrroot Valleys will wake up to temperatures in the low to mid 30s.

Higher elevation valleys along with locations along the divide will be even colder:
