MISSOULA — A weak cold front will bring light mountain snow along with a few valley rain/snow showers Wednesday. Most of the shower activity will occur in northwest Montana. West-central and southwest Montana may see a few showers but for the most part will remain dry.
High pressure briefly sets up Thursday and Friday. Expect dry and cool conditions with highs in the middle to upper 30s Thursday and low 30s Friday.
By the weekend and continuing into next week, model indications point to a more active weather set up. Light snow looks to return to the forecast Sunday with chances for snow remaining in the forecast each day next week, however, no major storm systems bringing widespread accumulating snow is expected at this time.
