MISSOULA — Expect a dry day Thursday with mostly cloudy skies and slightly warmer temperatures as highs top out in the mid to upper 30s.

Our next weak system will bring light snow back to west-central and southwest Montana Friday.

Most of the snow will fall in the morning with some minor accumulations possible in valley locations. By the afternoon any remaining moisture will fall as a rain/snow mix as highs warm into the upper 30s to low 40s.

Overall we are looking at a warmer and drier weekend and start to next week with highs topping out in the upper 30s to even middle 40s Saturday - Monday.

Our next system looks to move in next Tuesday. There is still a lot of uncertainty with this, however, at this time models have a low-pressure system moving through the Northern Rockies bringing the potential for widespread accumulating snow. Accumulations will be highly dependent on the exact track of the low-pressure system, which at the moment remains uncertain.

We will continue to watch this and bring updates as details come together over the next few days.
