MISSOULA — Expect some sunshine to start your Wednesday, then clouds will increase during the afternoon with scattered rain showers developing.

Rain showers will move from west to east impacting locations along the Montana/Idaho border in northwest Montana first. The showers will then move into the Flathead and Mission Valleys by late afternoon and west-central and southwest Montana this evening.

Rain showers will be most widespread Wednesday night into Thursday. A few thunderstorms will even be possible Thursday afternoon with high temperatures in the 50's. A few scattered rain showers will stick around Friday in northwest Montana. Other than that expect mostly dry conditions with highs in the upper 50's to low 60's.

A brief ridge of high pressure will bring warm air back to the forecast Saturday. Temperatures look to reach the low to upper 60's with a mix of sun and clouds overhead.

A weak cold front will bring rain showers back to the forecast Saturday night into Sunday morning. Cooler air will move in behind the front with highs dropping back into the 50's and low 60's to start next week.
