MISSOULA — Light mountain snow will continue today along the Montana/Idaho border. The valleys look to stay mostly dry, however, a few light rain or snow showers may occasionally develop particularly for areas in northwest Montana. Highs today will top out in the middle 30's to low 40's.
More widespread light mountain snow along with valley rain/snow will develop tonight and last into Thursday. Temperatures will again top out in the upper 30's to low 40's.
By Friday, snow levels will be high enough that precipitation will fall as all rain in the valleys. Light snow will continue in the mountains with only around 1"-to-3" possible.
Looking at the weekend, an overall dry and cloudy day is expected Saturday with highs in the low to middle 40's. Our next weak system will then move in Sunday bringing a return to the light mountain snow and occasional valley rain/snow showers.
