MISSOULA — We are looking at one more day of high pressure across the northern Rockies. This means another day with mostly to partly sunny skies and high temperatures in the middle 70's to low 80's.
Our weather pattern begins to change tonight as a cold front moves through the region. This cold front will bring scattered rain showers and even a few thunderstorms late tonight through Tuesday morning. High temperatures on Tuesday will drop into the low and middle 60's. At this time north-central Idaho, along with west-central and southwest Montana will see the more persistent rain fall with this system. Most of the rain does look to fall during the morning Tuesday with drier conditions expected by Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Wednesday through Friday a broad area of low pressure is expected to settle over the northern Rockies. This will keep temperatures below average, topping out mostly in the upper 50's to middle 60's along with off and on rain showers and high mountain snow showers.
