MISSOULA — A weak system is bringing light mountain snow along with valley rain/snow to western Montana this morning. These showers will continue off and on through the morning and be most widespread in west-central and southwest Montana. Expect drier conditions by the afternoon with highs in the 30s to low 40s.

Our next system will bring light snow back to the forecast Friday afternoon and evening. As temperatures will be slightly cooler Friday (low to mid 30s) snow will be possible at all elevations. With that being said, still very little to no snow accumulation is expected in the valleys.

Over all dry and seasonally cool temperatures are expected this weekend. Expect a mix of sun and clouds overhead with highs in the low to mid 30s Saturday and Sunday.

Looking at next week, another warm up is expected across the northern Rockies as our mild winter weather continues. Highs will return to the upper 30s and low 40s Monday. Temperatures will then continue to warm with highs reaching the low to middle 40s by Tuesday and Wednesday.
