Scattered thunderstorms will again be popping up in southwest Montana Wednesday afternoon.

These storms will not be as widespread as what we saw yesterday, still, though, some storms could be strong with gusty winds and frequent lightning the main concerns.

Expect dry air from around Missoula north today with highs in the low to mid-80s.

Smoky and hazy skies look to continue for west-central and southwest Montana Wednesday.

Northwest Montana on the other hand should start to see the smoke and haze clear out. This trend will then continue through the rest of the week and into the weekend.

Expect sunny, warm and dry conditions Thursday and Friday. Smoky and hazy conditions look to continue to improve. High temperatures will be in the 80s.

We are still looking at a weather system to bring much cooler air to the northern Rockies Sunday into the beginning part of next week.

Saturday will still have temperatures in the 80s, however, we could see very breezy winds develop as this system approaches.

By Sunday temperatures look to drop into the upper 60s and 70s with highs only in the 60s by Monday. Scattered rain showers will also be possible during this time as well.
