MISSOULA — A broad area of low pressure remains in place over the northern Rockies. Expect widespread snow showers again today with high temperatures topping out only the 30's to low 40's.
While west-central and southwest Montana see most of their snow later this morning and afternoon. Northwest Montana will see most of their snow this morning. Winter Weather Advisories are in place for the Flathead and Mission Valleys along with the West Glacier Region through noon today. Expect valley snow of 1"-to-3", mountain snow of 3"-to-5", gusty winds and cold wind chills as low as 15 degrees below zero in the West Glacier Region.
Drier conditions are expected Thursday, however, as cool and unsettled weather remains in place a few afternoon rain/snow showers can't be ruled out. Highs will once again be in the 30's to low 40's.
More widespread rain and snow expected Friday especially in northwest Montana. Highs will be only slightly warmer as they top out in the low to middle 40's.
Temperatures will be slowly warm up this weekend with highs in the middle to upper 40's Saturday and upper 40's to low 50's Sunday. The active weather set up does look to remain in place with off and on scattered rain and snow showers possible each day.
