MISSOULA — Snow showers will develop in the form of snow bands today.
Under the stronger bands, brief periods of moderate to heavy snow will be possible. Winter Weather Advisories remain in place for west-central and southwest Montana through 11 a.m.
High temperatures will top out in the low to middle 30's today.
A few light snow showers or flurries will remain in the forecast Tuesday. Most of those look to develop in west-central and southwest Montana. Highs will once again be in the low to middle 30's.
High pressure will start to build over the northern Rockies by Wednesday and continue through Saturday.
This will lead to a sunny, dry and warmer period as highs reach the low to middle 40's.
One thing to keep in mind, with high pressure and clearing skies, we are looking at the potential for some very cold mornings along with patchy fog by the middle and end of the week.
By Thursday, low temperatures could drop into the single digits and teens.
