MISSOULA — The warmest day of the week will come Thursday as highs top out mostly in the middle to upper 80s with a few low 90s as well.
A weak cold front will approach the northern Rockies by late afternoon and evening today. As it does, the winds will pick up with gusts around 25-35 mph possible across western Montana. For those planning to be out on the water during this time frame be prepared for choppy lake conditions due to gusty winds.
Behind the cold front temperatures will be a few degrees cooler Friday as highs top out in the upper 70s to middle 80s. Breezy winds will remain Friday with gusts around. 20-25 mph.
The weekend is shaping up to be very nice across western Montana. Expect sunshine with highs ranging from the low to upper 80's across western Montana.
Warm air is expected to build over the region by next week. High temperatures look to return to the 90s by Tuesday and continue with sunny skies through the week.
