MISSOULA — Clouds Tuesday morning will give way to partly to mostly sunny skies this afternoon. High temperatures will be slightly below average for this time of year topping out in the upper 30's to low 40's.

A few light rain/snow showers will be possible Wednesday. The mountains may pick up an additional inch or two of snow while the valleys see just a few off and on light showers. Temperatures will remain in the upper 30's to low 40's.

A ridge of high pressure will build in for the end of the week. Highs will top out in the middle to upper 40's Thursday with many areas reaching the 50's again Friday.

Looking at the weekend, there is still some uncertainty between models, however, early hints are at another cold front moving through Saturday afternoon or evening. This will bring scattered valley rain/snow and mountain snow back to the forecast Saturday and Sunday.

Temperatures will also drop as the cold front moves through. Highs will be in the middle to upper 40's Saturday then drop into the upper 30's to low 40's Sunday.
