MISSOULA — We have one more day of sunny skies and 70s. The skies may be a little hazy as well, but overall expect another very nice day Friday.

A cold front moves through the region Saturday. As it does rain showers and breezy winds will develop. Showers look to first start in northwest Montana late Saturday morning then move into west-central and southwest Montana Saturday afternoon and evening.

As the front moves through winds of 40-to-50 mph will be possible in the mountains and 20-to-30 mph in the valleys. High temperatures will top out in the 60s Saturday.

Cold air will continue to move in Saturday night into Sunday. This will allow snow levels to drop to around 5,000 feet. bringing snow to the higher elevations. Lost Trail and Lolo are the major passes most likely to be affected by snow.

The valleys will continue to see scattered rain showers Sunday as highs top out only in the 40s to low 50s.

Looking at next week, models have temperatures remaining in the 50s with scattered showers possible through around Wednesday.
